Giovanni has over 12 years experience in aquatic husbandry. After completing a Bachelor of Marine Science and majoring in Aquaculture and Marine Biology. Giovanni has extensive experience working with a wide-variety of numerous Fresh Water, tropical and marine species. He has previously worked at the Australian Institute of Marine Science (AIMS) and James Cook University (JCU) with focus on Aquaculture and Environmental system's designs and monitoring, life-cycle research, and overall aquatic husbandry. He has also worked as a Technician with GFB Fisheries Ltd. in barramundi production and is associated with numerous Universities and Organisations across Australia.

Giovanni is accustomed to the research environment, and the need to deliver consistent, controlled environmental conditions for research specimens, and he is a fundamental part of the UQBR Aquatics team since joining in 2017.
